Description:
Courtney came to us wanting a change and said she was down for anything. When getting to the salon we told her she would rock any haircut and explained she could leave with something as long as a a lob and as short as bald. To say she was nervous was an understatement but she really wanted to cut her super long blonde hair off and make a donation to kids with cancer.
She agreed to play the hat game where you draw a number from 1 being the longest cut possible to 10 being the shortest which is bald, out of a hat to determine what cut she got. The rules of the game however state you must draw 3 cuts out of the hat with each one being shorter than the last. The first number she drew was a 7 which was a long pixie and she started to have doubts as to what she wanted to do. She agreed to go through with it and her reaction as she saw her long ponytails for the last time being chopped off her head was priceless. Throughout the cut she was a combination of crying, laughing and making fun of herself throughout the cut. After getting the long pixie she drew a number 8 which was a pixie cut which looked great on her, but she wasn't a huge fan of at first. After getting the pixie cut though she was required to draw one more number which was nerve wracking for her. If she drew a 9 she would leave with a buzzcut and if she drew a 10 she would leave completely bald. She drew a 10 which meant she was going to shave her head. To say she freaked out was an understatement. In the end though she left with a bald head and looked great. She was one of the most emotional girls we have ever cut but we are glad to say once she got home and the shock worn off she messaged us to say she loved the new look and planned to keep it real short.
Please Note: About 5-8 seconds of the cut is missing on the front camera angle during the head shave. Not a huge deal and the side camera footage is complete but felt we should note it.
