Emily who is a grad student originally wanted a long bob but saw our ad online and decided she would instead let us pick her haircut. We had her play the hat game where you draw a number from a hat to determine which cut you get next. The numbers range from 1-10 with number 1 being the longest cut possible to number 10 which is bald. The rules of the game however state you must draw 3 cuts out of the hat with each one being shorter than the last and the clippers are at the girls forehead when they draw so if they get a 10, they can't back out.
Emily drew her first number which was a 8 but we made it a 5 so she wouldn't automatically be required to shave her head. With the 5 we decided it was a long pixie. With her second draw she got a 8 which we decided was a short pixie cut that was 1.5" long on top. With her final draw she drew a 10 and Lisa drove the clippers down the middle of Emilys head. Lisa used the clippers to shave her head and then she used the foil shaver to give her that bald look. Emily was in a little bit of shock after the head shave trying to process the haircut but I think you will agree, she looks great.
